These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Sholar Automotive website, located at sholarautomotive.com, and the services described on it. Sholar Automotive ("we," "our," or "us") is an auto repair shop and registered NYS Inspection Station (#7129612) located at 36 York St, Auburn, NY 13021. By using our website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Use of This Website
Our website is intended to provide information about our services, hours, location, and pricing, and to give you ways to contact us or request an appointment. You agree to use the site only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or submit false information through any form.
Information Is Not a Guarantee
Descriptions of services, pricing, specials, and availability on our website are provided for general information and are subject to change without notice. Nothing on this website constitutes a quote, estimate, or guarantee for any specific vehicle until confirmed in person or by phone with our shop.
Online Appointment Requests
Our website offers online appointment booking through AutoOps, a third-party scheduling platform. Submitting a request through AutoOps, a contact form, or live chat is a request only, it is not confirmed until we contact you to verify the appointment. We reserve the right to reschedule or decline any appointment request.
Vehicle Service and Authorization
When you bring a vehicle to us for service, you confirm that you are the owner or are authorized by the owner to request repairs. Work will only begin once you have approved an estimate, verbally or in writing. Additional repairs discovered during service will not be performed without your separate authorization, except where necessary to prevent immediate safety risk.
Under New York's Lien Law, we may place a mechanic's lien on a vehicle to secure payment for labor and parts, and unclaimed vehicles may be handled in accordance with applicable New York abandoned vehicle laws.
Payment
Payment is due at the time services are completed unless other arrangements have been made in advance. We accept the payment methods posted in our shop. Financing, where available, is provided by SNAP Finance under its own terms, described below.
Loaner Vehicles
If a loaner vehicle is provided while your vehicle is being serviced, that loan is managed through ShopLoaner by AutoRentalSystems.com and is subject to a separate loaner vehicle agreement, which you will be asked to review and sign. Loaner vehicles may be equipped with GPS tracking technology, and by accepting a loaner vehicle you agree to that tracking. You are responsible for the loaner vehicle, including fuel, mileage, and any damage, in accordance with that agreement.
Financing Through SNAP Finance
Our website contains a link to SNAP Finance for customers who want to apply for financing. SNAP Finance is a separate company, and any application, approval, or agreement you enter into is between you and SNAP Finance under its own terms and conditions. We are not a party to that agreement and are not responsible for its terms.
Third-Party Services
Our website and shop operations rely on several third-party services, including Google (Analytics, Ads, Maps, and YouTube), Gravity Forms, AutoOps, Tekmetric, ShopLoaner by AutoRentalSystems.com, and Tawk.to live chat. Each of these providers operates under its own terms of service, and we are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or practices.
Intellectual Property
The text, images, logos, and design of this website belong to Sholar Automotive or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use, but you may not copy, reproduce, or republish any part of this website for commercial purposes without our written permission.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sholar Automotive is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or reliance on information found on it. This does not limit any warranty we provide on completed repair work, which is addressed separately at the time of service.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of this website will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cayuga County, New York.
